XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro Review: Is It Worth It?

Testing the XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro is when we can really attest to its true capabilities and worthiness.

We've tested the MoGo 2 Pro in various conditions, from indoors, to outdoors, from low-light conditions to daytime, from shorter distances to longer distances, and always streaming various kinds of content.

Battery Life

Unfortunately, the MoGo 2 Pro does not have an in-built battery, nonetheless, MoGo 2 series projectors are the very first in the XGIMI line-up to support power supply from a power bank. Travelling with a MoGo 2 Pro is now more convenient, as users can utilize their adapter and power bank for supplemental battery when on-the-go without sacrificing performance.

Sound

The MoGo 2 series projectors speaker specifications have undergone an extensive overhaul from the predecessor generation, resulting in a considerable improvement in auditory fidelity. It is equipped with two 8W speaker units that provide robust sound output, offering users with a more immersive audio experience. As a testament to MoGo 2 Pros unprecedented design, compared to its predecessor, the MoGo 2 Pro projector body is still compact enough for it to be held in one hand yet boasts an increase of 2.1 times in speaker module volume and an upsurge of just over 2.6 times in speaker power—all achieved through continuous efforts from XGIMI to optimize the shell material, shell design and acoustic passive radiator arrangement.

Incredibly, XGIMI engineers have succeeded at amplifying sound quality even within such a diminutive portable projector; with powerful basses & trebles – offering excellent audio quality.

With all this in mind, the built-in speakers definitely provided decent sound quality, with speech being clear and understandable at all times, during more impactful scenes, the speakers do lack some bass, although they are the sound is still perfectly acceptable, but obviously don't have the same power as a home cinema system. That being said, the MoGo 2 Pro speakers are impressive for their size, and unless you are looking for a superior or outstanding sound experience, they'll do the job just fine.

It is critical that a projector can project an easily discernible image. By integrating the self-developed industrial chain into its portable projectors, XGIMI has successfully equipped them with custom 3D ToF depth sensing modules and high-precision CMOS for the very first time.
