The Ready Card is a self‑custody crypto debit card that lets you spend USDC anywhere Mastercard is accepted while keeping full control of your assets. Unlike many crypto cards, Ready never holds or controls your funds; your crypto stays in your own wallet until a purchase is made and the card simply converts USDC to fiat at the point of sale using the official Mastercard exchange rate.

There are two versions of the card. The Ready Metal is a premium 16‑gram metal card available in gold or silver. It costs 120 USDC for the first year, paid upfront, and offers a three percent cashback reward in STRK, up to eight hundred dollars of fee‑free ATM withdrawals each month, and exclusive partner perks such as discounts on Ramp, Layerswap, Koinly, Nansen, StarknetID, Airalo and NordVPN. The Ready Lite is a standard plastic card that is free apart from a six‑point‑nine‑nine dollar shipping fee. It provides a half percent cashback reward in STRK and up to two hundred dollars of fee‑free ATM withdrawals per month.

To obtain a Ready Card you download the Ready app on iOS or Android, complete identity verification through Kulipa—a regulated card issuer that handles the required KYC while keeping your personal data private—and then select either the Metal or Lite version to place your order. Verification is mandatory for regulatory compliance but does not affect the self‑custody nature of the card.

When you make a purchase the card checks that you have enough USDC in your wallet; if the balance is insufficient the transaction is declined. The card currently supports only USDC for loading and spending, although additional cryptocurrencies may be added in the future. Funding options include bank deposits that are automatically converted to USDC, buying crypto directly in the app via Ramp or Banxa using Apple Pay, Google Pay, card payment or bank transfer, transferring from an exchange or another wallet, or receiving a Ready Gift from another user.

Fees are straightforward. The Metal card has zero foreign‑exchange fees while the Lite card incurs a one percent FX fee on card transactions. There are no conversion or top‑up fees and the exchange rate used is the official Mastercard rate without markup. ATM withdrawals are allowed worldwide; Metal members receive up to eight hundred dollars per month fee‑free, Lite members up to two hundred dollars, with a two percent fee on amounts exceeding those limits. Withdrawal limits are five hundred dollars per day, two thousand five hundred dollars per month and thirty thousand dollars per year. Spending limits are five thousand dollars per single transaction, ten thousand dollars per day and thirty thousand dollars per thirty‑day period, applied per user rather than per card.

The cashback program distributes rewards in STRK each month by the fifteenth. Metal cardholders can earn up to one thousand eight hundred dollars annually (three percent cashback on up to five thousand dollars of monthly spend) while Lite users can earn up to one thousand eight hundred dollars annually (half percent cashback on all eligible purchases). Unused cashback does not roll over and certain categories such as gambling, cash‑equivalent transactions, money transfers and other financial services are excluded. The program is funded by the Starknet Foundation and reviewed quarterly.

Perks for Metal cardholders include exclusive offers on Ramp, Layerswap (with weekly fee refunds up to one hundred dollars), Koinly, Nansen, StarknetID, Airalo and NordVPN. Some offers have regional restrictions—for example the Ramp offer is unavailable in the UK and the Nansen perk is not currently offered to subscribers. Lite cardholders currently have no additional perks.

Security features include instant card freezing via the app, the ability to request a replacement if the card is lost, and secure PIN viewing within the app after biometric or passcode authentication. The card supports Google Pay now and Apple Pay integration is in development with rollout dates to be announced later.

Supported regions are the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, with plans to expand to more countries throughout 2025 and beyond. The Ready Card aims to provide a seamless, self‑custodial way to spend crypto while offering competitive cashback, low fees and a growing set of partner benefits.
