Weglot Review

Weglot: Background

Weglot started out as a small project in a Parisian flat with Rémy and Octoberin back in 2016. The idea was simple: to help business owners translate their website without having to get help from developers. Weglot quickly grew with the success of its CMS libraries (WordPress translation plugin, Shopify App, others) and other integrations (JavaScript snippet, PHP, others) and raised a first seed round in 2017.

They are now looking to expand even more with deep integrations in other CMS and languages with one mission in mind: Make translations and international growth as easy as ABC!

Weglot: Integration

You can use Weglot on virtually every CMS/web technology, that's one of the great advantages of it, at the time of this review, here's a list of some of the CMS/web technologies where you'll be able to seamlessly integrate Weglot

  • WordPress
  • Shopify
  • WooCommerce
  • Squarespace
  • JavaScript
  • BigCommerce
  • Wix
  • Jimdo
  • Weebly
  • Weblow
  • Help Scout
  • PrestaShop
  • Zendesk
  • Magento
  • Ghost CMS
  • Bubble

If you don't see your CMS/web technology don't worry! You can still add Weglot to any website!

Weglot: Translating System

Weglot has a seamless automatic translation system, you can have it translate your whole website using its automation, alternatively, you can also manually translate it.

Depending on the plan you choose, you'll also be able to have a Weglot professional maintain and translate your whole website, you may also buy the services as a single service.

Weglot: User Feedback

Have you ever heard that the client is always right?

Well, if you believe that saying to be true, then Weglot is an outstanding plugin!

Wherever you look, all its reviews are pretty incredible, just see how high the average rating are on the following platforms:

  • 4,9 on Trustpilot (+1000 reviews)
  • 4,7 on Shopify (+700 reviews)

Weglot: Plans

Many plugins have a fixed price you'll have to pay in order to use its services, with Weglot, you'll be able to choose from 6 different plans (including a free trial!).

This is so you have a pricing plan which fits the size of your website.

With the free trial you'll only be able to translate 2000 words, if you have a site that's a bit bigger, you can choose the starter plan which allows you to translate up to 10,000 words.

Also, you don't need to use all the words translating one single language!

Imagine that you have a website with 1000 words and you get the starter plan, which means you'd be able to have a multilingual website with 10 different languages! (1000 words X 10 languages = 10,000)

This is an awesome feature!
